De-Lux Roofing Company Inc., was established in 1958 by Frank Egley. There were three workers, one truck and one kettle. The office was out of Frank and Naomi’s home with the same phone number they still have today (619) 474-4017. Mr. Egley was the foreman and salesman while his wife ran the office. All the material was hand loaded on the roof and the asphalt was pulled up by rope and wheel.

David Egley began working for his father’s company while still in high school. David became a full time employee in 1973 and joined a crew of seventeen with 7 trucks and 5 kettles added to the company inventory. By 1975, David Egley began running tile crews on various apartment buildings in University City. David took over the business from his father in 1991, after successfully learning all aspects of the business and establishing himself in the community.

Today De-Lux Roofing Co, Inc. has 8 full time year round employees and during the summer months employs up to 15 people.

De-Lux Roofing specializes in: commercial, residential, custom, and industrial roofs. The types of roofs that the company specializes in are: shingles, shakes, tile, hot tar, and some single ply systems. Our company has concentrated on quality products and customer satisfaction for over 45 years. We carry and install a full line of quality products. In addition, we are factory certified in all installations giving the customer the maximum warranty.
